First Novel: Ain't That America(A work in progress)

Caden waved goodbye to her mom as she pulled away, leaving her daughter in front of her new school. She gulped and clutched her backpack straps as she started walking forward towards the huge gates, wondering who and what she would find on the other side.

Afterwards

It's been about eleven hours since the surgery, and my foot is killing me! I have it propped up on a special pad made of styrofoam, and I can't put any weight on it. I woke up so nervous! Now that it's over, the eight weeks before I go back to school start. This is going to be boring! In fact, I'm bored right now. Oh well.

Nerves, Feet and Me

It's the night before the big surgery. I'm so nervous! The doctor will be cutting an extra bone growth in my foot apart, as well as reconstructive arch surgery. It's like killing two birds with one stone. So I'm sitting here, in my tootsie roll pajama pants and Wizard of Oz shirt, starting a blog that only I post in. Wow. You can tell I'm nervous by how I can talk and talk about nothing. Like I am now. Scattered throughout this blog you can find stories I've written once I really get going. But to get back on topic. I'm really scared and nervous right now. There's no time to be scared tomorrow, I have to get up at four forty five to get there by six fifteen, so I will practically be sleeping in the car. Cross you fingers for me, okay? Bye!
